…says Lagos, Edo paying above minimum wage
Popular All Progressive Congress (APC) member, Woye, has raised an alarm that 27 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are yet to establish committees to implement the new minimum wage.
Woye who revealed this via his X handle @woye however noted that Lagos and Edo states have already begun paying their workers above the minimum wage, making the setup of technical committees unnecessary. “Lagos and Edo are paying. No need for any technical committee. In Lagos, the least worker earned N77,000 before the minimum wage law was signed,” he posted.
