Nigerian music superstar, Davido, has taken to social media to express his concerns about the Edo State governorship election.
In a series of posts on his Twitter handle, Davido revealed his personal connection to Edo State, stating, “My mom is from Edo…”
This is coming few hours after Davido responded to the police statement urging citizens to vote and return home, Davido advised voters to remain and protect their votes. He captioned the post “lol.ooo! Go where?”.
He emphasized the importance of Nigerians being invested in the election, saying, “we as Nigerians should be concerned…”
Davido criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), tweeting, “@inecnigeria shame on you!” He referenced his past experiences in Osun State, where he claimed to have had to “rant” repeatedly before issues were addressed.
