All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Adamu Garba, has warned against attempts to blackmail President Bola Tinubu, stating that no individual or group should be allowed to use sponsored riots to achieve political gains.
This follows the ongoing protest against bad governance by some Nigeria youths in diverse part of the country, which has resulted to riots in Kano, and Kaduna with dozen recorded dead.
Garba who speaking via his X handle @adamugarba, emphasized that blackmailing the President would amount to holding the entire country hostage to the demands of a few disgruntled elements.
“Nobody. I mean nobody should be allowed to blackmail the President. No any political opportunist should be allowed to use the ongoing sponsored riots to corner the President to their political gains.” He said
While acknowledging the rights of genuine peaceful protesters, Garba distinguished them from politicians who sponsor riots to further their own interests.
He asserted that the Federal Government, under President Tinubu’s leadership, is the only institution with the authority to maintain peace and stability, and that this authority should be protected and enforced.
